Our 8-day driving tour will take you from Rome to Milan through the heart of Tuscany, with its rich wine villages and art capital of Florence. You then continue to the Italian Riviera and the towns of Rapallo and Santa Margherita before driving into the Lake District to Italy's most beautiful lake, Lake Como.

Itinerary

Day 1 Rome to Tuscany: Pick up your car this morning in Rome and proceed north through Orvieto to the wine villages of Montepulciano and Montalcino. Continue north through enchanting Siena to the Chianti wine district in Tuscany.
Overnight in Tuscany.

Day 2 In Tuscany. Full day available to visit nearby Siena and the hilltop town of San Gimignano

Day 3 In Tuscany. Full day available to visit the airt capital of Florence.

Day 4 Tuscany to Santa Margherita: After break- fast, drive west to the city of Pisa for a visit of it's famous Leaning Tower. Continue north along the coast via Viareggio, La Spezia and Rapallo to Santa Margherita
Overnight in Santa Margherita

Day 5 In Santa Margherita: Full day to explore this special coastal area including Portofino and the famed Cinque Terra.

Day 6 Santa Margherita to Como: Today's drive will take you north to Genoa, birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Continue north through the hill country and bypassing Milan to beautiful Lake Como.
Overnight on Lake Como.

Day 7 At Lake Como: Full day at leisure on Lago di Como. Visit the nearby resort of Bellagio or perhaps a drive into nearby Switzerland to the lake resort of Lugano.
