1, Mon. BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
Day 2, Tue. ARRIVAL IN
MOSCOW, RUSSIA.
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free to relax or to take an optional
tour of the Moscow subway. (D)
Day 3, Wed. MOSCOW.
Moscow is the symbolic heart and soul of the country.
Sightseeing begins at Red Square, dominated by St. Basil's
Cathedral and the massive red walls of the Kremlin. Visit
the Armory, and see Moscow University and the popular
Arbat shopping district. Continue with a drive along the
wide boulevards, view the Olympic Stadium and Tverskya
Street, and stroll through GUM, the largest Russian department
store. Pass the Bolshoi Theater, glance at the tomb of
the Unknown Soldier and drive along the embankment of
the Moskva River. An early dinner will be followed by

Day 4, Thu. MOSCOW / TVER
/ NOVGOROD.
After an early breakfast, depart for Tver, an ancient
trading port nestled against the banks of the River Volga.
The city offers fascinating treasures, including Putyevo
Dvorets, built for Catherine II as a resting place on
her journeys from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Enjoy a short
sightseeing tour of this remarkable city. End the day
in Novgorod, founded 1110 years ago. (B,D)
Day 5, Fri. NOVGOROD /
ST. PETERSBURG.
On a morning sightseeing tour of Novgorod, see the marvelous
Citadel and the museum of wooden buildings which displays
traditional rural homes in an open-air setting. In the
afternoon proceed north to St. Petersburg, the former
capital of Romanov Czars. Upon arrival, visit the Peter
and Paul Fortress, which houses the crypt of the Russian
emperors. (B,D)
Day 6, Sat. ST. PETERSBURG.
There are not many cities in the world that can match
the grace of St. Petersburg. When Peter the Great founded
the city in 1703, he hired Europes best architects,
craftsmen and artists to build and decorate it. Spread
over 100 islands and linked by over 600 bridges, it is
often referred to as the Venice of the North.
In the morning, explore Petrodvorets, Peter the Great's
summer palace standing at the edge of the Gulf of Finland.
Afternoon sightseeing includes St. Isaacs Cathedral.
The highlight of the tour is the famous Hermitage, which
houses many treasures from the Czars era and is
located in the former residence of the czars, the Winter

Day 7, Sun. ST. PETERSBURG / NARVA, ESTONIA / TALLINN.
Journey to Estonia, where your first stop is Narva. Continue
to Tallinn, the capital of the Republic of Estonia, situated
on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic
Sea. Because of its strategic location, Tallinn has historically
been an important harbor and a center of trade

Day 8, Mon. TALLINN / RIGA,
ATVIA.
A walking tour of the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage
site, starts with the visit to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
In the Upper Town see the Toompea Castle and the 14th
century gothic Town Hall. Afterwards, off to Riga, the
capital of the Republic of Latvia. (B,D)
Day 9, Tue. RIGA.
Riga is another major Baltic port dating back to the age
of the Hanseatic League, situated at the mouth of the
Dougava River. The citys narrow medieval streets
display a wide variety of architectural styles:Romanesque,
Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical. During your
sightseeing tour, see Riga Castle, the magnificent Dome
Cathedral, St. Jacobs Cathedral, St. Peters Church,
the Parliament building, the Liberty Monument, the Academy
of Art, the State Art Gallery and the district of Art
Nouveau houses. Afternoon is free. (B,D)
Day 10, Wed. RIGA / VILNIUS,
LITHUANIA.
Morning departure for Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
Upon arrival here, the balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 11, Thu. VILNIUS. The city of Vilnius is located on
the confluence of the Neris and Velnele Rivers. It has
been inhabited since the 9th century. In the Old Vilnius,
visit Peter and Paul Church and St. Annas Church.
View Vilnius University, dating back to 1570, Gedimenos
Tower in the Upper Town and Vilnius Castle. The afternoon
is at leisure or you may take an optional excursion to
Trakai. (B,D)
Day 12, Fri. VILNIUS / WARSAW, POLAND. Bid farewell to
the former Soviet Union and cross the border into facinating
Poland. You will reach Warsaw at day's end. (B,D)
Day 13, Sat. WARSAW.
The 700 year old capital of Poland is a symbol of nationhood
and the will to survive against great odds. A sightseeing
tour here includes a drive along the famous Royal Route
from magnificent Castle Square to Lazienki Palace, summer
residence of the last King of Poland. Pass by the Palace
of Science and Culture (known as a wedding cake),
the Saxon Gardens, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the
Barbican. Continue with a walking tour of the Old Town,
Old Market Square, Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw
Ghetto and Lazienki Park with its palace and Chopin Monument.
Your last stop will be St. Johns Cathedral. The
rest of the day is free for shopping, a stroll through
the city, or an optional late afternoon Chopin concert.

Day 14, Sun. WARSAW / CZESTOCHOwA
/ KRAKOW.
This morning journey to Czestochowa, known for the blackened
picture of St. Mary in the Jasna Gora Monastery, popularly
called the "Black Madonna." Later, continue
to Krakow. During the journey there is time for an optional
side trip to one of the most somber memorials of the past,
Auschwitz. End the day in Krakow. (B,D)
Day 15, Mon. KRAKOW.
Krakow, for centuries the residence of Polish kings, is
the second largest Polish city. Sightseeing will start
with a visit to Wawel Hill, viewing the Royal Castle and
visiting the Royal Cathedral. Enjoy a walking tour of
the
Old Town where you will visit the Main Market Square,
Renaissance Cloth Hall and St. Marys Church. The
afternoon is free for strolling around the city on your
own or to take an optional excursion to the Salt Mines.

Day 16, Tue. KRAKOW / PRAGUE,
CZECH REPUBLIC.
After a drive through the Polish countryside, cross the
border into the Czech Republic. In the late afternoon,
arrive in the beautiful city of Prague, capital of Czech
Republic. (B,D)
Day 17, Wed. PRAGUE.
Built on seven hills more than 1000 years ago and situated
on the both banks of Vltava River, Prague is one of the
most attractive cities in the world. Your city tour starts
with a panoramic drive to Wenceslaus Square, the Strahov
Stadium and Castle Square. During a walking tour, visit
St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Castle of Hradcany with
its Gothic Cathedral, St. George Church and Loretto Church.
Then over Charles Bridge, dating back to the 1400s, to
view the Jewish Ghetto and see the world famous Astronomical
Clock. After the tour, perhaps enjoy a walk along Pragues
cobblestone streets and admire towns marvelous Baroque
Architecture, or visit one of the fine restaurants, art
shops or intimate cafés and meet the locals. In the evening
you may attend an optional cultural performance. (B)
Day 18, Thu. PRAGUE / VIENNA.
Today head south through Czech and Austrian countryside
to Vienna, the "City of the Waltz," and one
of Europe's loveliest cities. (B)
Day 19, Fri. VIENNA.
Your morning sightseeing tour starts with a drive through
Ringstrasse to the Town Hall and then by City Park, the
State Opera House, Empress Maria Theresia Monument, the
Votive Church and Belvedere Palace. View the Prater amusement
park with its giant Ferris wheel and the modern United
Nations City at the banks of Danube River. During a walking
tour, see the synagogue and visit St. Stephens Cathedral
and Hofburg Palace, the winter residence of the Imperial
Royal Family. Afternoon at leisure, with an optional tour
to Schönbrunn Palace available. Your Farewell Dinner tonight
is a traditional Heurigen Dinner with entertainment in
the charming suburb of Neustift. (B,D)
