Our Chile adventure package starts out with a visit to the capital city of Santiago, then we fly north for to the desert landscape of Atacoma, the world’s driest desert. Here you will optional day excursions to choose from sightseeing to easy strolling through Moon Valley, CHAXA LAGOON, CEJAR LAGOON, ANCESTRAL TOUR walking or for the more adventurist, high altitude mountain biking up the Devils Throat Canyon or hiking some of the regions most popular hiking peaks an afternoon hiking or strolling through the wonderful terrian in the Moon Valley’s red-rock formations, canyons and evening sunsets. Or an early morning drive to the 3rd larges Gesyers in the world Tatio Gesyers. At night, sit outside your patio and observe the clearest and most brilliant night skies in the southern Hemisphere.
Then we travel to the furthest Southern point in Chile to Punta Arenas where we will start your journey with day excursions in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia. Hike amoung the hills, kayak with the icebergs, encounter up close the Glacier, horse back ride or relax and enjoy the scereny of the mountain peaks, turquoise lakes, waterfalls, hanging glaciers and alpine meadows.

Day 01 – U.S.A. / Santiago
Depart the U.S. for an overnight flight to Santiago Chile.

Day 02 – USA / Santiago
Arrival early morning into Santiago, transfer to hotel. Afternoon half-day city tour of Santiago. Overnight Accommodation: Intercontinental

Day 03 Santiago – Viña del Mar – Santiago
Breakfast at hotel. Full-day Visit to Viña del Mar and Chile’s main port city, Valparaíso, which enjoys World Heritage Site status for its unusual architecture, streets, alleys and stairways that lead up to the hilltops. Viña del Mar, the country’s most-visited summer town, is also known as “Garden City” for its parks, ample boulevards, beautiful plazas and flowery gardens. Both cities are Chile’s gateway to the Pacific Ocean.

Day 04 Santiago – Calama – San Pedro de Atacama (L,D)
Breakfast at hotel. Conveniently-scheduled transfer from hotel to airport to board flight to the city of Calama. Reception at Calama airport and transfer to the town of San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, you will see the sunset from the best spot in northern Chile: the Mars and Moon valleys in the Salt Mountains. Capricious clay and salt structures created millions of years ago by mineral deposits turn into a lunar landscape at dusk.

Day 05 San Pedro de Atacama (B.L.D)
Breakfast at hotel. Full-day excursion to the high Andean plateau, the Miscanti and Meñiques highland Lagoons and the Atacama salt bed, in Los Flamencos National Park. The reserve’s diverse avian fauna creates a landscape filled with contrasting shapes and colors. Visit to the traditional towns of Toconao and Socaire, as well as the Chaxa, Meñiques and Miscanti Lagoons. Lunch at Socaire.

Day 06 San Pedro de Atacama (B.L.D)
Passengers depart before dawn to explore the Tatio Geyser, a geothermal field located at an altitude of 4,300 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains. There, steam clouds that reach up to 50 meters in height combine with the stunning beauty of the Andes. Breakfast is served at the geysers. The return trip passes through a moving landscape of mountains and volcanoes above 5,500 meters, with a view to the stunning avian fauna that inhabits the small rivers that flow into the great Atacama salt bed. Return to San Pedro is scheduled at around noon. Accommodation.

Day 07 San Pedro de Atacama – Calama – Punta Arenas – Puerto natales (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning off. Transfer to Calama airport to board flight back to Santiago. Accommodation.

Day 08 Puerto Natales / Torres Del Paine National Park (B.L.D.)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit to the Cave of the Mylodon on the way to Torres del Paine National Park (the ride takes about 2 ½ hours, 112 km), with a brief stop at Cerro Castillo (a border town close to the reserve.) The entrance to the park is through the Laguna Amarga gatehouse, where entry tickets are purchased. Passengers then board shuttles that provide transfer to the lodge. Hiking the W Circut: Option for Day 09 – 13

Day 09 – Los Torres Hotel / Base
Breakfast at lodge. The first hour and half of the trail leads passengers through beautiful vistas of lakes and the Monte Almirante Nieto hanging glacier (2,670 m) to El Chileno lodge. After getting some rest and leaving their equipment, passengers hike for an hour through an ancient native forest to the base of the glacial deposit. Following a roughly 45-minute hike, they arrive to one of the reserve’s most breathtaking spots: the Base Torres lookout, famous for its view of the area’s impressive massifs and glaciers. (South Tower, Central Tower, North Tower, Condor’s Nest and Torre.) Lunch box, dinner and accommodation at lodges.
Difficulty level: High.
Day 10: Hike to Los Cuernos lodge (11 Km)
Breakfast at lodge. Passengers circle the Paine massif hiking along the base of the Almirante Nieto glacier for half an hour. Arrival to the Shortcut, a trail that leads to Los Cuernos lodge through vistas of Lake Nordenskjöld, hanging glaciers and native flora like ciruelillos and notros, which bloom with beautiful red flowers in December. Four to five hours later passengers arrive to Los Cuernos, widely regarded as one of the coziest stops in the circuit. Lunch box, dinner and accommodation at lodges Los Torres .
Difficulty level: Intermediate.
Day 11 – French Valley – Pehoé (25.3 Km)
Breakfast at lodge. The first two hours are easy, flanked by vistas of Lake Nordenskjöld all the way to the Italian Campsite sector. Here, passengers need to contact CONAF personnel to leave their gear and start the hike up carrying a smaller backpack containing water, food and clothing. The 1.5-hour ascent to the French Glacier lookout begins at French Valley, and continues up to the British Campsite and the British Lookout, which offers one of the most striking vistas in the national park. From here it is possible to see the Paine Grande, Catedral, Hoja, Máscara, Espada, Aleta de Tiburón and Cuerno Norte massifs. Passengers hike on the same trail to the Italian Campsite and then to Lake Pehoé. Lunch box, dinner and accommodation at Paine Grande Lodge. Difficulty level: High.

Day 12 Hike to Grey Glacier – Pehoé – Puerto Natales (22 Km)
Breakfast at lodge. Hike to and back from the Grey Glacier lookout. After an hour passengers reach the first lookout and see the glacier in the distance. The hike then skirts the west shore of Lake Grey for one-and-a-half to two hours to the main lookout, for a spectacular view of the glacier, Mount Cordón Olguín and the icebergs in the lake. Lunch boxes are served. Passengers head back on the same trail to Lake Pehoé and board a catamaran to Pudeto. (Departure is scheduled at 18:30 pm) Return trip to Hotel Torres from Pudeto.
Day 13 Puerto Natales – Punta Arenas
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the bus station to take a regular bus to the city of Punta Arenas. (Bus ticket included). Arrive to Punta Arenas airport.

Day Excursions Description in Torres Del Paine:

– Full Day: Full Paine Excursion
This is the best way to know the National Park by visiting its most famous highlights while enjoying some beautiful walks where you will be surrounded by the flora and fauna facing the marvelous mountains that form part of the Paine Massif. After enjoying a lunch outdoors we will take you to Lago Grey where you will have the option to take a walk around the lake shore then take the boat to Grey’s Glacier to get close to the Grey Glaciar. * Boat trip on the Grey lake included.
Difficulty: Easy

– Full Day Excursion: Trekking to The Base Torres Lookout (13Km)

– Full Day – French Valley
You will get to Pudeto by vehicle. Here you will get on board of the “Hielos Patagónicos” Ferry and cross the Pehoe Lake, After a 30 minute boat ride you will start the trek towards the French Valley, which is surrounded by lakes, rivers and streams. The first 6 miles is easy walking to the Italino camp. The next 3 miles up the French Valley is strengous hiking but worth the view. Once you get to the feet of Monte Paine Grande you will be able see the French Glacier, a great place to watch impressive avalanches that often occur.

Fifficulty: High – 18 miles RT approximatly 10 hours

– Full Day – The Lakes trail:
You will arrive to the Lazo Ranch, a beautiful place from where you will walk into the amazing forests of Nothofagus surrounded by colorful lagoons and streams, which form part of the panoramic views of the Paine Mountain Range. Estancia Lazo, located just in front of Paine massif. The trail is very regular, surrounded by lenga forests which in spring and summer have a huge variety of flowers. We will pass several lakes where we can observe different species of birds. The trail finishes in El Mirador del Toro (360º panoramic view), one of the best places to appreciate the geographic diversity of the Torres del Paine National Park.When you arrive at the El Toro Lake you will have an extraordinary 360° view where you will be able to feel part of the remarkable landscapes. This is a privileged area to observe flora and fauna.
Difficulty: Moderate 4 hour soft trekking

– Full Day – Grey Look out (Mirador Grey)
Early morning You will get to Pudeto by vehicle. Here you will get on board of the “Hielos Patagónicos” Ferry and cross the Pehoe Lake, After a 30 minute boat ride you will start the hike towards the Grey Glacier View Point approximatley 2 -3 hours hike. You will walk through rocky areas, evergreen and deciduous forests. You will finally be able to get a wonderful view of the Grey Glaciar and the lake by the same name filled with centenary icebergs.

Difficulty: moderate 4 – 5 hours of hiking, approximately 7 – 8 miles rountrip

– Full Day Kayaking – Grey’s Glacier
Kayak through the Icebergs of Grey Glacier. Van, Catamaran and Kayak. 15 to 60 years old in good physical condition We will head west towards the Torres del Paine National Park, on route we will enjoy magnificent views of Patagonian Lakes and of the Cuernos del Paine (Horns of Paine). On arrival at Lake Grey, will board a catamaran to base camp to start today activity. Specially trained guides will give a technical talk on health and safety and how to use the equipment. Emphasis will be given on how to navigate the kayaks around the icebergs and the glacier. After the end this exciting activity we will return to the catamaran to return to Remota.

Difficulty: Medium Difficulty

– Full Day Fly Fishing – Serrano River, Torres del Paine
It includes: English fishing guide
Box lunch, water and drinks, coffee, tea,sandwich, fruit and snacks.
Fly-fishing gear: Rod, reel, line and flies. Suit or wader and shoes to enter the river.
Four-wheel-drive transportation: Private service

– Half Day – Sarmiento Lake
This four-hour trek takes us through Paso la Feria, an exposed pass through a narrow valley. We hike through a beech forest to the banks of Lago Sarmiento, where we will stop to examine a collection of calcium carbonate formations. You will explore landscapes of pre Andean shrubs, and see the contrasts of the Patagonian colors with a majestic mountain backdrop.
Difficulty: moderate or Medium

Half Day – Blue Lagoon
This half-day excursion is the best option for people who would like to see the Torres del Paine without all the walking. We should see many of the plants, animals and birds – flamingos, condors, water birds and predatory birds – the park is known for.  You will see great views of the Towers of Paine and the enormous landscapes that brought great part of the explorers into the area. You will visit Laguna Amarga and discover the different organisms that live there.
